King David Community Center (KDCC) has 2 excellent nurses (RN and LPN) that provide great care for the seniors visiting its premises. It is worth noting that these nurses are provided different charts that outline each new KDCC client’s medical history including, current and past illnesses and medications. Having these charts allow the nurses to better regulate the daily activities of the seniors when it comes to taking medications at proper times, reminding them of the different exercises and procedures they must do daily in order to maintain good health.
Education about medication is very important to the lives of those that are taking it, and this is why the nurses at KDCC often have discussion groups with the seniors. These sessions deal with the general education regarding medications they might be taking, the different side effects they can have, as well as recent advances in the medical field regarding their illnesses.
The clients of KDCC have the right to know everything about their medical care, and the more they understand about their health, the more effort they will put into maintaining it. In the effort to maximize health regulations, the nurses at KDCC regularly check their clients’ blood pressure, pulse, and the amount of oxygen in the blood, as well as provide information on how to use different medical devices the clients might need in order to perform procedures on themselves (such as glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, etc).
These nurses are always in contact with the appropriate doctors and clinics regarding their client’s health. These doctors and clinics always update the nurses on the changes in the client’s health and any changes in the medication so that the nurses are always on top it.
