By far not all retirees own their own vehicles; and even those that did, but with age, lost their driver's license, all become very dependent in terms of transportation. This is especially troublesome in Atlanta, where public transportation only services a small part of the metropolis, and the travel distances are usually huge. King David Community Center is well aware of such transportation problems facing their wards, and solves these problems effectively.
One of the many services our Community Center offers its retirees is regular transportation to various commercial centers, to purchase any needed goods for several different purposes; anything from buying food at the supermarket, to department store shopping trips for domestic and hygienic goods. So, what guides the administrators at the Community Center to provide people the opportunity to buy anything they may need? Exclusive concern for each individual client, and a sense of responsibility for ensuring that not a single client feels even remotely deprived.
Yes, of course we are aware that some retirees have children or younger relatives who can, if necessary, drive them to the store, or anywhere else. But here at King David Community Center, we believe that once we admit any of our clients in to our care in the morning, we accept full responsibility for the needs and expectations of each individual client. This is why you may find vehicles with the “King David Community Center” logo in every corner of the city; they are patiently waiting for the people who need their help, to finish their errands and have a comfortable ride back to the Community Center, where they can also expect the same quality of care and attention.
