The administration of King David Community Center is always making sure that every daily visit of retirees to our Center is a bright, cheerful, and memorable experience. And it is this task that is performed by our employees, thanks to their charisma, imagination, resourcefulness, and tireless devotion to their chosen profession. But even in the continuous excitement of our daily extravaganza, there are still days especially worth of notice in the calendar of creative events at King David Community Center. Like holidays! Which, as it turns out, most naturally fit in to our daily routine of jubilance. And we believe that each holiday, regardless of its importance or national rank, require special treatment and careful preparation.
Here at the Community Center, being made up of an international community, the situation around holidays has formulated quite specifically. After all, here at King David we celebrate not only the most significant and recognizable dates of the United States, but also those holidays that our clients have brought with them from many other nations and cultures – those holidays that carry with them entire past lives of people, and that remain at the least, if not even more bright and cheerful that some days people may have been faced with after immigration.
But a holiday is a holiday, regardless of its origins or nationality. So why not take advantage of every occasion for joy that fate hands you? And so we mark in our calendar days like March 8th, Thanksgiving, May 9th, and Independence Day. This list could go on and on, but once again we would like to note that preparation for each holiday requires a great amount of creative, and sometimes even physical labor, on the parts of each individual employee at King David Community Center. Add to this labor the inevitable cost required by any event, and you'll begin to clearly see that our Community Center stops at nothing to fill their client's days with joy and fullness of life.
Aside from significant national holidays, there are also dates that hold a special importance to each individual. For instance, one of the most favorite events held at the Center is the monthly birthday celebration for everyone born on a day of that month. Celebrations like these also require a special care and consideration for the individuals being celebrated, their musical tastes, and their more intricate character-traits.
So, honestly, preparations for holidays and celebrations don't stop for even a single day at King David Community Center; just like every single day doesnt stop being a holiday in our eyes, and the eyes of our clients.
