Transport for seniors in Atlanta, traveling with wheelchairs
The transport service at KDCC is one of the administration’s top priorities. It is well known that transporting seniors can sometimes be a difficult task, due to the additional risks of things that can happen on the road. This is why all vehicles used to transport seniors are equipped with the best safety features and offer great comfort to its passengers. Not only can each vehicle take up to 14 passengers at one time, but each vehicle also has accommodations to those traveling with wheelchairs. In general these vehicles are mostly used to transport seniors from their homes to KDCC, and often times they are also used for transportation of seniors to medical facilities, markets, and parks. Usually, if there is a small group of seniors that wish to travel somewhere, KDCC can offer them accommodations on a 7 passenger van that can transport them where they please.
All drivers employed by KDCC have all gone through rigorous training and are all certified drivers with “Southeast Trans”. In extreme situations, all drivers are also qualified to give either CPR, or any type of first aid help to any passenger that could require it. All these qualifications are represented in the different certificates that the drivers all have which all have to be renewed every 2 years. All certificates are always up to date. All drivers at KDCC adhere to a very strict code of conduct, and treat their passengers with care and respect.
